A Greek-Balkan WEDDING on Corfu’s Iconic Coastline

Maja and Alex chose Corfu, Greece, as the perfect place to unite their cultures—his Greek heritage and her Balkan roots. The island’s landscapes, with rugged hills, lush greenery, and endless olive groves, closely mirrored the wild beauty of the Balkans, making it feel like a special fusion island that represented them both. Their venue, a private villa perched atop a cliff overlooking the Ionian Sea, was also the iconic setting of the James Bond movie For Your Eyes Only, adding a cinematic flair to their celebration.

The wedding design featured soft nudes, blushes, dusty pinks, and earthy greens, blending effortlessly with the natural surroundings. For dinner, they embraced a family-style Greek mezze experience, where guests shared plates of delicious Greek dishes at each table rather than being served individual meals. This setup encouraged conversation, mingling, and a true sense of togetherness, reflecting the warmth of both Greek and Balkan hospitality.

As the evening unfolded, the “strawberry full moon” rose in the sky, casting a stunning reflection on the Mediterranean Sea. It was the longest day of the year, and the magical glow of the moon created an unforgettable, dreamlike atmosphere, adding to the sense of timeless beauty and unity that marked Maja and Alex’s special day.
