MARSEILLE CIVIL WEDDING, FRANCE

JULIA & ZIAD

With only rumors that France was easing travel restrictions starting June 9, making it to Julia and Ziad’s wedding in Marseille a few days later was a complete gamble.

Julia is technically a distant relative (she is the cousin of my cousin), but I consider her my own cousin and good friend. She lived her whole life in France, but we would spend our summers together in the mountains of Lebanon accompanied by the chaos of our oversized Lebanese families. Swipe to the end to see a photo of us as kids.

On our sleepovers, we would often talk about our crushes, our first kisses, and exchange our dreams about finding “The One”. She was SO insanely specific about her dream man that it just hilariously seems like Ziad is the making of her own imagination. Here’s another good example of manifesting your dreams - This sh*t works!

HOWEVER, little did we know (or even dream) that I would be the one photographing her civil wedding!!! I am so, so honored and emotional about having been present and chosen to photograph their union. A few days later they did their large wedding celebration and I got to fully be present and partied with them until 5am. I am still on a cloud of happiness drying my happy tears. Sorry for having soaked up your guest book with my tears lol.

Bienvenue a la famille, Ziad!
