Nothing makes me happier than couples who want to take their engagement photos at home. Not going after epic “instagrammable” backdrops, but places of significance. I’ve been shooting more and more in-home sessions recently. I think the reason for that is, of course, the state of the world, but also, it takes the pressure off of you. Pressure off of finding a place, scouting locations, and putting the energy into shooting somewhere that may not feel so comfortable but looks great in photos. See where I’m going with this?
Fun fact: When I first started capturing in-home sessions, I used to tell my clients to prep/tidy their places for the shoot. Then, I realized I was imposing myself by doing that. So I stopped, and since then, I see more of you and less of me.
